Are men intimidated by successful or confident women, or do women use this as an excuse to hide behind feelings of rejection?

What does a man do when he is intimidated by a woman? Avoid eye contact? Move away, maybe even leave the room? Hiding in a dark corner somewhere praying he doesn’t bump into her is a bit extreme but real fear may look something like that. Yet when you have successful, perfectly bright women being taken advantage of, humiliated or ignored even putting it down to their status and ‘his fear to commit’, you wonder where simple common sense has gone. Relating well with someone is about respect and good communication.

There’s loads of guys openly admitting they don’t EVER want to be ‘any woman’s bitch’ and more than a handful of relationships in the public eye that seem to disintegrate when the woman becomes either more successful, or the breadwinner.
It’s also hard to ignore complaints by stunning women in clubs who aren’t approached because they believe they shouldn’t have driven up with the Lamborghini. Studies have found that intelligent women also have trouble marrying, yet intelligent men seem to have the opposite. Wow. Do successful women use this to block out feelings of rejection, or are men intimidated by powerful women. If so…WHY?
